1. Policy Statement
Diaspora Bridge is committed to complying with all applicable anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations. We have implemented a comprehensive program to detect and prevent illicit activities on our platform.
2. Know Your Customer (KYC) Procedures
We establish the identity of our customers through a risk-based approach. For all users, we require the collection and verification of identity information. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Full Name
- Date of Birth
- Residential Address
- A government-issued identification document (e.g., passport, driving license).
We may use third-party services to verify the information provided. Enhanced due diligence may be required for higher-risk customers or transactions.
3. Transaction Monitoring
We monitor transactions for suspicious activity. This includes, but is not limited to, transactions that are unusual in size, frequency, or pattern. We may request additional information or documentation to understand the nature and purpose of any transaction.
4. Reporting
We will report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities as required by law. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service to any user who fails to comply with our AML/KYC policy or who is suspected of engaging in illicit activity.
5. Record Keeping
We will maintain records of all identification data, transaction history, and other relevant documents for a period of at least five years, or as otherwise required by law.
6. Staff Training
All our employees receive regular training on AML/KYC regulations and our internal policies to ensure they can effectively identify and report suspicious activity.
